 OSPREYS

We have all envied the Ospreys at one time or another and wished we could swim as well as they. The name refers to the perfect and graceful strokes which they have mastered so beautifully. We can all thank the girls for being pool aids to Mrs. Bauer, "Mama Osprey," and for giving their time to teach other Laneites how to swim.
The Ospreys are losing two fish this term. They are Lillian Blaschke, Queen Fish, and Maureen Lewis.

  CHEERLEADERS

Alagaroo-garroo-garrah!' This is just one of the many cheers our cheerleaders gave at Lane's P.S.A.L. games. These girls showed up at all the games, rain or shine, and gave moral support to our teams. If they weren't cheering, they were teaching other girls after school to become the cheerleaders of the future.
Thanks, girls, for the wonderful cheers; keep up the good work. The Senior
Cheerleaders are Captain Joyce McQueen, Co-Captain Elaine Brower, and Barbara Citowitz, Patricia Forster, Caryl Kahn, Joan Manning, Sarah Piccirilli, Jeanette Poulos, and Patricia Thomas.

In parting from the Health Education department, we will always remember the gym suits worn backwards for the Athletic Council and Osprey initiations. Another thing we will not forget is the faculty and A. C. volleyball game. Even if the teachers did win 15 to 9, the council retains the slogan of "wait 'til next time." Also, let's not forget our girls' bowling club and the many strikes these girls have gotten. Now the time is coming for us to leave the Health Education Department, but we will always cherish the memories it has given us.
