The following
letter was received from Joseph's sister on 1/30/02:
Warren,
I was born after
he died so all I know is basically what I was told to me by Mom.
She now has Alzheimer's and so I can't really get anymore information
from her about him.
I believe Joseph (Josh)
went into the Army after high school. I think he was stationed in
Greenland for sometime. While there, he met and married a woman, Yvette,
I believe her name was, she was from Germany, and they moved to
California. They had three children. Two boys and a girl. He was
killed in a car accident on 2/19/63. He had just turned 27 on December
10, 1962. I came along July 6, 1964.
I recently moved here
to California in June. I was looking up the family name and found that
he is buried in San Francisco. I have not been there yet but I plan to
make a weekend of the trip so that I can visit him. I can't find
any other information about him except that he was a Sergeant in the
army.
It was such a nice
surprise to search his name on the internet and find his picture. I
recognized the name of the school from what my mom told me when I was
growing up. I have looked through the site and really have enjoyed
trying to find him in the pictures. Thank you again for making my day.
Very sincerely,
Karolyn Stetina
