The Bermen are once again on the field, and as this writing goes to print, are fighting for the glory of Lane. Maybe this year they will go all the wav and not be stopped in the semi-finals as they were by Thomas Edison last year.
     True, many of our able players have graduated. However, the boys this year are showing they are just as good, if not better.
     Some of the boys wearing the Lane uniform for the past year are: Vito Figlioli, Frank McGowan, Bob Oakes, Cliff Daniels, "Chink" Gaines, Steve Belson, John Young, Ed Bardin, Ashton Noville, Joe Gallo, Ed Parker, "Chickie" Smith, Richie Morganthaler and Charlie Giovinco.
     Good luck, boys. We hope to see you all in the big leagues some day.

TRACK
Most of the Boys Coach Retkewick will lose through this graduation were on the original track team,. which was organized right after the extra-curricular ban was lifted. Some of the boys who are going to hang their Lane track shoes up in June are: Mike Santangelo, Carlos Jones, Gene Pacifico, George Webb, Frankie Mihlstein, Odell Williams, Bernie Jonas, Van Ferguson, and Ashton Noville. All these fellows made a good showing in the races at Van Cortland Park last year, and to the astonishment of many higher ranking schools, brought home the City Novice Championship
