Every commencement marks both an end and a
beginning- the end of what preceded, the beginning of what is to come.
The sheltering roof of Lane must, in time, give way to the broader dome
of a college or to the open canopy of free enterprise. Thus it is with
the class of June, 1953, about to embark on its next big venture in
life. It has been wonderful having you here. We are proud of you and
happy that we can proclaim your eminent fitness to make your stations in
preparation for the work ahead. May your strivings for security,
happiness and good fellowship be crowned with success! Our best wishes
and affectionate regards go out to you. Good Luck!
